Race Event Registration, Info, & Course Maps
The Tour of Lawrence is a set of three seperate USA Cycling Pro-AM events with a total cash purse of $20,000 that all take place in the city of Lawrence Kansas on July 1-3, 2011 organized in partnership with Free State Racing and promoted by the Lawrence Convention & Visitors Bureau. SRAM neutral support is provided for all races.
Children's activities & races, live music, food and other activities are also part of the weekend, see the Spectators page for those details along with information for those just wishing to spectate. Participation in USA Cycling events requires a current licence which can be obtained on site for those just starting out. Also, T-Shirts and race posters will be available onsite at registration each day.

Registration Pre-registration is currently closed as of 2:01 am CST June 29th and is now only available last chance onsite Friday evening July 1 along with early packet pickup at Sunflower Outdoor & Bike - 802 Massachusetts St., from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Race day registration, with a $5 late fee, is available on Saturday (open 7:30 am) at the KU Campus Circuit Race Start/Finish in front of Wescoe Hall (see course map below) and Sunday (open 11 am) at Sunflower Outdoor & Bike. Entry fees, rules, & prize list info is available in the Race Flyer and on the BikeReg.com page. A complete list of pre registered riders & teams is also available. |
Where to Stay
The Tour of Lawrence’s host hotel is the SpringHill Suites Marriott. Conveniently located at 6th & New Hampshire, this newly renovated property places you just minutes away from all three race venues You won’t have to move your car once you park your car at the SpringHill Suites until you are ready to leave town. Room rate is $129 plus tax includes a free hot breakfast buffet. Every Suite comes with two queen beds and a sofabed, perfect for placing 3 riders to a room.

| New for 2011 this approximately 200m sprint course is flat and traverses South on New Hampshire starting at 7th Street and ending at 8th St. in downtown Lawrence. This race will offer great opportunities for spectators to enjoy the show along with live music. | The
setting for this 3.93 mile circuit race will
be the University of
Kansas’ main campus. This challenging course with 400ft of vertical
climbing per lap offers an architectural and cultural backdrop that
will enhance the experience for both racers and visitors. |
The
Tour of Lawrence will use the streets of
Historic Downtown Lawrence
for the Criterium. This mostly flat course with less than 40ft of
vertical climbing per lap will take racers along historic Massachusetts
St. The course has proven to be an excellent venue for both riders and
spectators in the past, during the Collegiate National Championships in
2006 and 2007. |
