This approximately 200m sprint course has a slight upward incline that traverses in front of the Eldridge Hotel on 7th Street in downtown Lawrence. This race will offer great opportunities for spectators to enjoy the show along with live music. The setting for this 3.93 mile circuit race will be the University of Kansas’ main campus. This challenging course with 400ft of vertical climbing per lap offers an architectural and cultural backdrop that will enhance the experience for both racers and visitors.
The Tour of Lawrence will use the streets of Historic Downtown Lawrence for the Criterium. This mostly flat course with less than 40ft of vertical climbing per lap will take racers along historic Massachusetts St. The course has proven to be an excellent venue for both riders and spectators in the past, during the Collegiate National Championships in 2006 and 2007.
