Volunteers
Many people volunteer their time and talents to connect the best of Lawrence to the best of racing.
Race Staff
There are several key roles in Tour of Lawrence management, many of which are paid positions.

Race Prep - the month before
In the last month prior to the race, there is a flurry of activity, ranging from distributing posters across town and other marketing needs to hanging no parking signs downtown, to picking up a variety of prizes donated by local businesses. Our race committee will also meet weekly that month, and on the three days leading up to the race, all of the racer bags will be prepped.

Course Marshals, Course Set up/Take Down
The greatest need is easily volunteers to help with managing the course throughout the day. Course marshals help to keep our racers and spectators safe by controlling corners and crossings on the race course throughout the day. Set up and take down crews manage barricades, tents, water jugs, signage etc.
Not sure what is expected? Last year, we made a video of our volunteer training session, and you can view that on youtube right here

Race Support
Course marshals are not the only people that we need during the race to make everything run safely and smoothly. We need volunteers to help out at registration, to staff our medical tent, to provide support to our couse marshals and officials, plus we need assistance with managing the community and children-focused events
